Q: I have a student who is facing some difficulty with a person he must work with to keep a certain account, and I gave him some pointers, etc. Do you have additional suggestions?

A: It is and excellent opportunity for him to use the MentalVideo. Make a MentalVideo of the problem, the current situation, then a MentalVideo of the outcome he wants... remember the Laws of Programming... do unto others... best for all concerned... etc. Then during the next three days, look for indications of how to proceed... to resolve things.

Personally, I wouldn't even fool with anything like the 3-Scenes Technique, at least not until I had received clear guidance of exactly what I need to do. Then I might use the 3-Scenes Technique to help me implement it.

For instance, if I happened to hear see an article in Cosmo about ways to make up after a fight, and something in there seemed to make sense, and then I saw an episode of Friends where they do just that (to confirm my first "coincidence"), then I might use the 3-Scenes Technique to picture myself saying the right things, in the right way, so that the other person would be receptive rather than defensive, and would be honest in expressing his concerns so we could deal with the problems... or whatever the guidance had indicated I needed to do.

The Instant Rapport Technique that we included on the Nightingale Conant album could be a help in this kind of situation also.
